What I Experienced During My First Pregnancy; This Could Be Helpful To You Too
Wednesday, April 21st, 2010When I became pregnant for the first time I had no idea of what was in store for me, but I soon found out. Nothing changed during my first trimester. I had a little case of morning sickness but other than that everything stayed the same. Then I hit my second trimester and I realized that I could not wear any of my clothes anymore. So it was time that I go out shopping for maternity wear.
I dreaded going shopping for maternity clothes because I thought they would have nothing in style and I would just look fat and ugly. When I got to the store I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had maternity clothes that looked just like any other clothes you would buy if you were not pregnant.
I was so happy that I would be able to dress in style while being pregnant. I only bought a couple of things because I was only in the second trimester I figured I needed to wait until I filled out a little more before I bought more.
By the beginning of my third trimester I had already been back to the maternity clothing store twice and was headed there again. I bought several outfits, and some outfits to wear after the baby for a month or so because I knew I would not be able to get back into my old clothes right away.
Around my eighth month I decided it was about time that we got everything we needed for our baby so that the nursery would be ready. We already knew we were expecting a baby girl and I was so excited about buying girlie stuff. I wanted to buy all the girlie things I saw. I bought most of it.
While we were shopping I saw a ladybug baby bedding set and I just loved it right away. So we load up all our shopping bags and head home to start putting everything up. The baby’s room was beautiful and I loved how the new ladybug stuff looked on the bed.
I went in to labor a month later and had my beautiful little girl. We were getting ready to bring her home from the hospital when I tried to put the outfit I had choice for her going home outfit and it was so big. It would not fit. I ended up having to put her in some of the sleepwear that I had brought along with me because nothing else fit her. For the first month of her life she was so small that’s all she could wear. I guess my point is no matter how prepared you are, your baby will make you seem very unprepared.
